Osmania University Common Entrance Test
Osmania University Common Entrance Test (OUCET) conducts post graduate and graduate eligibility test for engineering level, which are conducted by Osmania University for admissions into various PG, PG diploma and Five year Integrated Programmes in engineering are offered by Osmania, Telangana, Mahatma Gandhi and Palamuru Universities. The College of Engineering, Osmania University (OUCE) is an autonomous engineering college that is located in the Hyderabad, India. Currently regarded as one of the top engineering colleges, it was established in 1929. As per a survey by Edu, an Indian company and Rand Corporation, a non-profit American think-tank, Osmania University ranked as the 54th best Engineering College of India. The Directorate of Admissions has successfully carried out the huge task of providing fair admissions to the university and its affiliating institutions since 2000-2001 academic year.

OUCET 2018 Eligibility Criteria
Undergraduate -Candidates applying for OUCET should have passed the final year of Intermediate Examination (10 2) pattern with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional or related vocational courses in the fields of Engineering and Technology, conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh
Post Graduate- Students applying for postgraduate engineering programs should pass in B.E. of Osmania University in the concerned discipline or its equivalent. Students with AMIE/AMIETE or similar qualifications recognized by O.U. as equivalent to B.E./B.Tech can apply for the same too. They also need to have a valid GATE score.

The online application process for OUCET 2018 requires all the candidates to visit the official website at www.ouadmissions.com
. The need to fill in the form online for the OUCET engineering entrance examination and then click on the submission button. Before submitting ensure that all provided information is relevant and correct. Once you fill the form, keep a hard copy of the same for ensuring that you have proof of the same.
Important Dates of OUCET 2018
- Date of commencement of online registration & submission of applications: Mid week of April, 2018
- Last date of submitting the online applications: First week of May 2018
- Last date with a late fee of Rs. 200/-: Mid week of May, 2018
- Last date with a late fee of Rs.500/-: Last week of May, 2018
Application Fee OUCET 2018
If you are appearing for a single exam in OUCET 2018, which could be electrical or mechanical engineering alone, then the registration fee is Rs.400/- for OC/BC candidates and Rs.300/- for SC/ ST/ PH candidates. In case some students are applying for multiple M.Tech categories, then for each additional subject, the fee is Rs.200/- for all categories. The fee has to be paid at any TS/ AP online centers or through payment gateway (Credit/ Debit Cards)/ Net Banking. When making the payment via debit card, click "New Applicant Register Here" on the home page and select the fee payment option as Credit/Debit Card. Enter valid candidate details such as Name, Gender, Date of Birth, SSC Hall Ticket Number and Month & Year of passing SSC, Mobile Number and Email ID Click "Register". Only after getting the registration completion should you click on the "Pay Now" Button and complete the remaining procedure.
On complete the admission form you will need to ensure that you keep a copy of the DD or Bank Challan Slip amounting to the Application fee. You will also need to submit-
- Copies of all mark sheets
- Caste Certificate for SC/ STC
- Age certificate Admission of students
The Hall Tickets are issued along with other entrance schedules and necessary instructions at www.ouadmissions.com
. You have to download the Hall Tickets and affix a latest passport size photograph (which is exactly similar to the one uploaded in the Online Application) in the space provided and get itself attested. Without the Hall Tickets candidates are not allowed to appear for entrance test.
OUCET 2018 Exam Pattern
The entrance tests in all the subjects of B.Tech, will consist of 100 multiple choice objective questions for 100 marks. The entrance test will be of 90 minutes duration. OUCET 2016 will consist of any 3 or 4 varieties of objective type items such as analogies, classification, matching, comprehension of a research study / experiment / theoretical point of view, etc., with multiple answers besides the usual multiple choice items. The items will be framed only from the syllabus of entrance test. The total questions will comprise of 100 marks and there is no negative marking for wrong answers. The syllabus includes 12th level math, chemistry, physics and general knowledge questions.
